Closed carrier vs open truck
An open truck is cheaper but exposes your bike to dust, rain and road debris for the whole route. A closed carrier costs slightly more and is worth it for new or premium two-wheelers.
Prepare the bike
Drain fuel down to a minimum, remove the mirror, top box and any loose accessories, and disconnect the battery for long routes.
Document the condition
Photograph all four sides and existing scratches before loading. This one step settles almost every dispute.
Strapping matters
Bikes must be strapped at the handlebar and rear frame with soft belts on a wheel chock — never tied through the suspension or exhaust.
Paperwork
Always collect a consignment note with vehicle number, chassis details, pickup and destination address and a contact number of the driver.
